Sister Falling
In Elysian Fields the sky spins 'round
and Sister Falling finds her calling
Splayed in the knee high grass
near the barrow mound
A beggar man, an old Chinese
No hope, no legs below the knee
In Elysian Fields to Sister pleads
for his own demise
Sister begs him otherwise
He runs on his stumps to the barrow
and hacks at the door of the tomb
with a woodman's axe
Sister struggling at the edge of the sea
on the cliffs with an axe and an old Chinese
Sister Falling - Sister Falling
Sacrificium Deo spiritus contribulatus
cor contritum, et humiliatum, Deus non despecies.
Asperges me hyssopo, et mundabor:
lavabis me, et super nivem dealbabur.
Cor mundum crea in me, Deus:
et spiritum rectum innova in visceribus meis.
Virtuous woman, Bride of Christ,
I awake and see my life falling, falling
Disembodied, mystified, I stood in the sea
at the rising tide, and a wounded angel
called me warning
Given this day her daily bread
She fights the angry for the dead
Sailing through Elysian skies
On the rocks below I saw her die
